Camera Obscura Photography

My photography project is based on inspiration by cuban photographer Abelardo Morell's camera obscura. Morell's idea of a camera obscura was to capture an image inside a room usign light as his main source. He created his own camera obscura by "setting up a room and covering all windows with black plastic in order to achieve total darkness. Then, he cuts a small hole in the material he used to cover the windows. This allows an inverted image of the view outside to flood onto the walls of the room. He would focus his large-format camera on the incoming image on the wall and expose the film." His beautiful work inspired me to create my own camera obscura with my photography. I hope you enjoy my view of New York City and Miami!
